Album Notes
"My two girls sing-along with more gusto than we've ever heard. The songs are well done and I think the idea to let the kids fill in the missing lyrics on side two is clever. Great job! We can't wait for the next one."

-Jonathan Hornsby, Co-writer with Bruce Hornsby, two time Grammy-award winning artist.

Musician and music therapist, Cathy Bollinger, followed up her successful lullaby collections, "From A Mother's Heart", and "More From A Mother's Heart", with music for kids ages 2-8. In a variety of musical styles, Cathy's natural warmth shines through and doesn't take long to get kids singing along with merry abandon.

Tunes That Teach is a lot of fun and, not incidentally, playfully imparts some important information. What's Your Number, is a fun way for young children to learn their phone numbers. "Everybody let's all learn how to use the phone. 'Cause you never know when you get the urge to be calling home." In the next verse kids are encouraged to sing their street addresses, too.

Manners, A Week Has Seven Days, Take Good Care of the Earth, Let's make a Rhyme; eleven songs in all, each one encouraging kids to learn in a fun way. Truly a sing-along interactive experience, the songs are repeated with certain lyrics left out. A kalimba prompts kids to fill in the missing parts.

Kids love to hear other kids singing. On most of these songs, Cathy's clear and melodic voice is accompanied by a talented and rambunctious group of youngsters. Lively, sunny, warm and fun - kids love these songs... and you will too.

1st off album artwork caught my attention. When I viewed the song title I knew this cd would be a classic because it teaches kids some basic knowledge already known ...Way to go.I do appreciate the artform of this melodious album.
