ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Boma Family is not only a representative of great world and folk music, but also a bit of a singer/songwriter and a theatrical comedy sort. Featuring two guitars in open and standard tuning and a violin, all that spiced with harmonious vocals and a bucket of humor.

Hungarian singer/guitarist Gabor Humble Vörös wandered around Europe before settling in the Ghent, Belgium area in 1993. He participated in a number of musical projects, including a somewhat oddball folk-rock outfit named Dearest Companion, also featuring multi-instrumentalist Tom Theuns and arranger/composer violinist Wouter Vandenabeele. While Theuns and Vandenabeele toured around with the Flemish Folk group Ambrozijn, Vörös was busy with the various oddball theatrical projects such as Humble Grumble, which today is one of the only representatives of avant-prog in Belgium carrying the tradition of bands like X-legged Sally or Cromagnon.

Almost 20 years passed when the three musicians decided to reunite to play live and tour the world.
