Originally recorded under another band name, and released in 2007, Vitus Dance is a groove oriented collection that springs from Christopher Bingham's love of hallucinogenic music of the early 70s. All still within the framework of expanding a culture that celebrates the natural world and being immersed in the totality of the exeperience. Friends and fans donated over $15,000 by "adopting" songs to help the group record the disc. All of Bone Poets Orchestra's music is as much a product of a supportive community as it is an individual vision.
Backing Bingham and Tinney are some of the Pacific Northwest's finest musicians. The Bone Poets Orchestra current line up includes Larry Golding on violin, Sunnie Reed on viola, TJ Morris on drums, Jay Kenney on keyboards, Danah Olivetree on cello and Dan Mohler on bass.
Guesting on this album is Trillian Green's amazing flautist, Ben Klein, Pint and Dale's bansidhe hurdy gurdy-ist Felicia Dale, and the wonderful Eliot Grasso on ulliean pipes
