Album Notes
Boreas Duo plays classical compositions as well as their own original material for cello and classical guitar.
Both musicians are very well trained and experienced classical musicians, but, as an extra, are also both experienced improvisers in experimental rock and alternative music and jazz! They worked with al lot of other musicians; among others (a bit of name dropping...): Leonard Bernstein, Han Bennink and Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth). This experience adds to their performances of classical music; they are able to play the music as if it was instantly composed!
Their style is modest and very natural, but the quality of their playing isn't. They don't need show...

But what they do need is people that are willing to listen and to take some time to dive into the relaxing quality of their music.
