Album Notes
"Les Adieux" - Intimate Moments is Boris´ second solo album, presenting some lesser known works from the classical era guitar masters.
Boris Tesic was born on 21st April 1983 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2000 he finished Music High School in Tuzla and is enrolled at Royal College of Music in London, England, where he studied till 2004 in the class of Gary Ryan. After Royal College of Music, he furthered his studies at Musikconservatorium in Maastricht, the Netherland where he studied with Mr. Carlo Marchione. In 2009 Boris obtained his Masters degree with cum laude. From 2009 until 2011, he studied at the Music Academy in Kassel in the class of Michael Tröster.
Boris had his first full solo concert in Tuzla, B&H in 1994 at the age of 11. Since that he had concerts in 13 countries all over the world, performed in Forum Gitarre Wien, Bath Guitar Festival, London Guitar Festival, Edinburgh Guitar Festival, Dundee Guitar festival and also played in the Royal Festival Hall and Bolivar Hall in London and in the UN building in New York, as well as preforming with orchestras in Slovenia, Spain and Montenegro.
He participated in more than 20 competitions all over Europe. His best results were the 1st prize at the Biennal International Guitar Competition in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic in 1998, the 1st prize at the 1st EGTA Gitarrenwettbewerb "Andres Segovia" Velbert, Germany in 2000, the 1st prize at the Biennal International Guitar Competition in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic in 2000, the 1st prize at the "Admira Young Guitarist of the Year", Bath, England in 2001, the 1st prize at the Internationaler Gitarrenwettbewerb "John Duarte" Rust, Austria in 2006, the 1st prize at the "Guitar Festival" Niksic, Montenegro in 2009, 2nd prizes in Rome, Italy and Gevelsberg, Germany; 3rd prizes in Bratislava, Slovakia; Sarajevo, B&H and Lisboa, Portugal. He was also the finalist at the prestigious International Guitar Competition "Francisco Tarrega" in Benicassim, Spain.
Boris participated in various Masterclasses with professors H. Käppel, P. Steidl, C. Bonnel, C. Cotsiolis, J. Williams, D. Azabagic, S. Tenannt, S. Assad among others...
His career as a guitar teacher started in 2004 at the Music Academy School in Eastern Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina as an assistant of prof. Zoran Krajisnik. In April 2013 Boris took over the position of the guitar docent at the Music Academy "Louis Spohr" in Kassel, Germany.
In 2010 his debut CD "Nummer Eins" (Thorofon 2010)was released with repertoire from Bach, Aguado, Rodrigo, Giuliani, Henze.
Furthermore in 2013 the "Fun and Passion" CD was published, recorded by the Herkules Guitar Duo (Boris Tesic & Michael Tröster) with works from Assad, Angulo, Tröster, Tedesco, Ponce, Gnattali and Hand.
