ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Anthology 1 is the latest compilation from Texan keyboardist Morgan Bouldin with soaring and timeless tracks, it's funk laced and refreshing. The Jackson’s seldom covered classic hit Shake Your Body Down is featured with a different, old school twist. Riding music meets cool, Bouldin’s unique style continues to influence and inspire. With Bouldin, smooth jazz is not what it appears to be and is never the same. Other covers include Oleta Adams' Get Here and Dionne Warwick's You'll Never Get to Heaven (If you break my heart). Since the 1990's he has continued to give smooth jazz that extra edge, while still serving up songcraft and passion. The man feels and believes what he is doing and that feeling shines through every track. The CD offers a nexus of styles - from tribal to jazz to modern funk, blurring the line between smooth jazz and contemporary R&B. His keyboard work is venturesome and distinctive.
