Album Notes
This is the second, more refined recording from Bouski, a UK North Wales band who refuse to put their instruments down. Despite commitment to day jobs and families Bouski managed to meet once a week using a Fostex VF16 digital recorder to produce a fine set of recordings. This helped define their sound which has influences from the 70s and 80s, blending acoustic and electric instruments, providing a melodic chilled out feeling.

Band members are:

Chris Thomas: Vocals, Bass, Jokes, Haircuts, Snoring.
Dave Sz: Guitars, Bass, Synths, Sax, Effects, Engineering, Production, Mistakes
And.D: Drums, V-Drums, Percussion, Effects, Production, Shades, Laughter.

Bouski formed in the nineties, performing live shows in Chester UK for a short while before concentrating on recording and producing.

The band share studio space at Dave's Dolphin Daydream studios in Chester, and Drummer And.D's Drumkit Wonderland Studios in Hawarden, North Wales. (bedrooms in their houses!). The band only meet a few hours per week, but have managed to make best use of a digital 16 track recorder and a beer fridge which provides exra inspiration. Suffice to say, they work at a snail's pace and produce one song every few months. However, they know something good comes to those who work and wait!

Vocalist Chris took the role of marketing the band, and started broadcasting the tracks in Hairdressing salons across the UK. People would be forced to say they liked the music whilst having scissors pointed at their heads. And.D (with Phil Spector Shades) remained joint executive Producer with Dave on the controls. Hours of mixing using 16 Track at Drumkit Wonderland Studios using real speakers led to great improvements in production. Chris had to take caffeine pills to stay awake during the late recording sessions. Dave and And.D had to work fast as Chris's voice could change to snoring at any point, but the results weren't half bad after much cutting and pasting.

Musicans may be interested in the Band's main gear used on this album which is quite basic. However it seemed to get results:
