by Boxcar Figaro

Lyrically rich and melodically compelling original, authentic, Americana songs that improve the mind, make the body stronger, increase feelings of well-being (and may cause a slight uptick in libido). This is a solid, stripped-down, easily listenable band

Album Notes
This is the first studio album by Americana/Folk band Boxcar Figaro, who have been making music in California's Central Valley since 2008. The band consists of Mike Witten on bass guitar, Sam Nassar on percussion, and longtime Central Valley guitarist Sam Garner on lead guitar. Singer and rhythm guitar player Victor DesRoches, is also the band's songwriter -- crafting songs that are personal but accessible, slightly quirky and in a strange way moving, and built with catchy melodies that make them sound deceptively simple.

This album was recorded "live-in-the-studio" and gives a solid representation of how the band performs musically on stage. Boxcar Figaro live, however, isn't just about the music. The band is both laid back and lively, with Victor actively engaging the audience with humor and immediacy to craft shows that are unique and entertaining.
