ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Stones Throw Away" is New Jersey native Joe Brack's debut release.

This 11-song debut is a mix and meld of folk, rock and pop with a very distinctive voice and melodies you'll find yourself humming as you're walking down the street or doing laundry.

Now, you know I'm writing this myself so lets cut all the pretense.

All I really have to draw from is what people tell me.

And someone did actually tell me they caught themselves humming "Where Do We Go" while doing laundry.

So there you have it, the truth be told.

The Latest...

The songs "Rescue Me" and "Stones Throw Away" to be featured in and on the sound track of the upcoming indie film "Fishing".

"Stones Throw Away" - 2nd place in the best contemporary album category of the 2001 Just Plain Folks music awards. Performed at the awards show in Hollywood, CA.

"I've Been Down" used in episode #211 of the NBC show "Just Deal". Selected music from the album "Stones Throw Away" to be featured in an upcoming episode of MTV's "The Real World".

an amazement
My father is very good friends with Joe Brack. When my father first introduced me to the album I was so excited. I listened to it all the time. It is still one of my favorite albums today and it's weird how a 13 year old can be turned off to rap and only listen to Joe Brack. He actually came and sang at one of my birthday parties. I was the happiest girl in the world. This album is awesome. Joe Brack blows me away with all of these songs. He is the sweetest guy ever and deserves the best.=].

Worth it. You will listen to it many many times.
This is a great CD. You know how some CD's keep ending up back in your CD player, even after you've memorized the whole thing? This is one of those CD's. Great songs, and a cohesive whole that holds up with the best of them.

Fan-freakin'-tastic!!
Joe gave me my first unofficial guitar lesson 12 or 13 years ago when I got a guitar for Christmas one year, and needless to say, from the moment a guitar was placed in his hands I was blow away. So, it comes as no surprise that not only is Joe an awesome guitarist, but also a great vocalist and an excellent songwriter. Although he has been compared to the likes of David Gray, I beg to differ - Joe's voice and songs are much more dynamic, catchy and thoughtful. I strongly urge everyone to grab a copy and check him out at the Bitter End sometime in the near future. :-)

Stones Throw Away
I can still recall the day this CD arrived. It was pouring outside. I dodged the silver bullets from the mailbox to the car, removed the packaging and began to listen. It is impressive! "Slide" and "Not That Strong" are remarkable songs! Now only is I can catch a live performance!

OUTSTANDING!!! Can't get the songs out of my head.
I have been waiting for this CD ever since I first saw Joe play at the Bitter End over a year ago. I went home that night hearing his songs and his voice over and over in my head for days afterward. The CD is everything that I hoped it would be and more. Not only do I love it, but every friend that I have lent it to has loved it and bought one also.

Wishing Well and Long Way Down--Highlites of this CD. If You've ever been to a live show, just watch the audience reaction to Wishing Well. Truely a signature song. I too have brought people to shows and they requested the CD and they rave about it.Congratulations.
