Album Notes
With over 400 shows and 100,000 miles traveled over the past two years, the Brandi Thornton Band doesn't let any dust settle. Their fan base spans more than 30 states with 135,000 website visitors this year alone. With Brandi Thornton, you get what you see plus a whole lot more.

Brandi is no rookie the music industry. She began her professional career as a child, eventually performing several hundred fairs and festivals across the Southeastern United States through her teen years. She was featured on the Rosie O'Donnell Show and headlined at Manhattan's Motown Café. Her original recording, "Out of Time" was licensed for use by Levi Strauss Co. in a multi-platform advertising campaign.

She loves to sing country, but is not limited by genre. Her repertoire spans the spectrum of original and cover material, from classic southern rock and r & b to her own songs, described as "rocked out, attitude country." A uniting factor to these selections is that each song is made unique and new through subtle nuances and Brandi's natural gift of showmanship.

Brad Paisley, Martina McBride and Dierks Bentley have all experienced Brandi's high energy show firsthand; using her as an opening act. Dolly Parton used Brandi as a back singer and dancer for several of her Christmas productions. The fan club just keeps growing through extensive touring to support her newest project, "New Place To Start." Just as comfortable in a tiny honky tonk as in a packed collegiate stadium, one never knows where The Brandi Thornton Band may show up next. It's a sure bet, she'll catch your attention.

Thornton Stellar "Start"
Brandi Thornton has a personality to burn. Jumping off the speakers with her vivacious and animated delivery, Thornton has all the traits of superstardom in the grand tradition of Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes. Also promising is her canon of well chosen material, coming from Nashville’s Who’s Who of songwriting, including Bob DiPero, Anthony Smith, Sherrie Austin, Troy Verges, just to name drop a few. Percolating with confidence and plentiful momentum, Thornton asserts her life values on the high-energy “Real.” Similarly, on the girl power anthem “Only Woman Left,” this Georgian voices the universal longing of every girl for a dependable man with convincing effect. Just like Reba McEntire, Thornton shows she can swirl a story song with fiduciary on the bluesy rocker “Black Crow,” where she tells a sleazy story of betrayal, deceit, and murder. Nevertheless, it’s on the ballads where this future diva really excels. On the epic fairy tale romance gone sour, “Color Love Blue” calls to mind Lorrie Morgan’s career defining opus “Something in Red.” While on “Strength of a Heart,” “Once Again” and “They Sing,” Thornton sings with an ache of vulnerability that is just heart warming. Of the numerous new faces that glaze through the country music scene, Thornton has caused an indelible impression; and with an album so sublime, this is indeed a good place to start.

Best indie CD I heard in a long time
What a wonderful CD! Brandi is an awesome performer and the album is very well-produced. Songwriters like Sherrie Auston, Sarah Buxton and Anthony Smith can´t go wrong, I guess. This album deserves to get a nomination at the CMA-Awards, if you ask me. My favorite song: "They Sing".

Great person and CD
I have met Brandi, and she is the sweetest, most down to earth person you ever want to know, she brings so much to the stage, and what impresses me the most is she is not aware of or she is aware but still so humble that she wories about her ability to bring an audience. Friday night she played here in Tifton Ga and she was worried because there wasnt many people there, by the end of the night the place was packed and she had Budwiser out there doing a promotion as well. She is a small town girl with the biggest heart of anyone. When she comes to town the club gets excited and I love her to death, she is so sweet and a great perfomer. The CD is great she done a great job on it.
