Album Notes
Brandon Gibbs' EP release is a sidecar ride along to the life of a vulnerable singer-songwriter who isn't afraid to paint the picture of those exact moments we can't live without. Moments we will never have again, moments we ask for help, moments of joy and a lifetime of mourning. All of these feelings and stories are told on this EP, blanketed by the singer's fascination for haunting harmonies and soulful guitar lines. October Twenty Four is one heck of a story that targets something you've felt or are feeling, whether you like it or not. Enjoy!

Love this album!
I had the privilege of seeing Brandon play an acoustic set about a month ago in Waterloo, Iowa. He played most of the songs on this album and talked about their inspiration. I was not familiar with him prior to seeing him live recently but I am now a big fan. If you have a chance to see him, don't miss it. The studio recordings on October Twenty Four are so very tastefully done. I have listened to the CD many times and love all the subtle things going on in each tune. Musically catchy, lyrics painting pictures, and a gorgeous voice - about as good as it gets. The last cut, Walk Away, begins with bare bones drum kit, grows in lushness (if that is a word), gets huge, settles, and concludes with bare bones guitar and lone vocal. He does things with dynamics in his songs that are very cool, just great songwriting. I look forward to seeing him again in Dubuque Nov.2. One last thing, he has serious ,serious guitar chops!
