A fun listen
When googling for recent albums with guest appearances of one of my favourite guitarists, Jackshit's very own Val McCallum, I came across this album by a man I had never heard of before, Creed Bratton. Curious, I listened to some samples and had to get it right away. These are good songs I can tell you! Most of them come in a grooving country rock style, there are uptempo tunes and slow ones as well. The obvious choice for first single, "Rubber Tree" is also the song from which the line is taken that gives the album its title. And it's got a great guitar solo, too.
The rest of the band includes some more stellar players such as pedal steeler Greg Leisz, drummer Brian MacLeod and on keyboards, there is one Dillon O'Brien. But the best things about this album are Creed Bratton's songs and the humor within them. This is a fun listen. Enjoy!

Awesome album!
Never would have thought that Creed would have such a great album. I heard the songs on his website and was really impressed so I bought it. It is a really good sounding, feel good cd with great musicianship. Some songs are fun like "Sure Sounds Good", "Rubber Tree" and "My Heart's an Open Book" (which will make you think "what the?"). But the best songs for me are the ones that are more heartfelt like "Matters Like This" and "Let's Get Lost". These songs are really well written and show what an excellent musician and writer Creed is. I recommend this cd HIGHLY. Who'd a thought? Nice going Creed. Keep making music!
