Album Notes
Brenda Nicole Moorer is a singer and songwriter hailing from Atlanta, currently living between Atlanta and Harlem. Moorer released her debut indie album in 2011 entitled "Songbird" which Pandora featured. In 2014, Moorer teamed up with keyboardist/producer Jesse Fischer to release EP, "For Lovers & Believers," presenting music with a positive message, simple melodies atop laid back rhythms, heavy Rhodes, and underlying synths. Moorer’s brand of soul is both refreshing and vintage, gentle and sultry mixing elements of folk, soul, and pop. Soul Bounce describes Moorer’s voice as " a sweet voice that sounds like a blend between Minnie Riperton and Corinne Bailey Rae.” She can easily be deemed the "sugar of soul" with her sweet voice and soulful sounds. Her latest release is a soul jazz duet with Chris Turner from Snarky Puppy’s Family Dinner II. This song is featured on her sophomore album Brand New Heart.

Brand New Heart in a collaborative she affectionately dubbed the Atlanta-Brooklyn exchange. The music from the album is a joint effort between Brooklyn based producer/keyboardist Jesse Fischer and Atlanta based keyboardist & composer Kenny Banks. The project fuses soul, folk, and jazz elements. Lyrical content and melodies were the brainchild of Brenda, drawing from personal experiences, while Kenny and Jesse brought their musical genius to the table shaping the songs into something new. Each song tells a story of the heart. The album will be released in April 2017
