Album Notes
'Over the Moon' is Brent's debut album. It contains ten original tracks, including International Award Winner 'I've Done It'. Other tracks include 'Bundy Barramundi', 'How Good is it to be Australian' and 'Too Right I'm from Queensland', all numbers that regularly bring the house down at his live shows.

If you're thinking of visiting Australia for the first time and want a quick education on the Aussie point of view, buy Brent Lillie's album. If your an Aussie, then you'll get a great laugh at what you see in the mirror!

When it comes to success in major songwriting contests on a national and international level, Brent Lillie leads the way. No other Aussie comes close to Brent's impressive list of wins, runner-up and finalist placings in respected and prestigious contests including the International Songwriting Competition, the USA Songwriting Contest and the Australian Songwriting Awards.

A seasoned professional, Brent has performed at numerous venues in his home state of Queensland and has toured extensively throughout the Northern Territory and New South Wales. He recently received an invitation to perform his original material at Nashville's famous Bluebird Cafe.

Comparisons include Rolf Harris, Ray Stevens and Aussie icon John Williamson but Brent possesses a unique style of his own that sets him apart from other artists. His songs often feature an unexpected 'twist in the tail' that can suddenly set an audience on it's head.

Brent' music has been describled as hilarious, clever, moving and brilliant. Hayden Bell, publisher for The Veronicas, described Brent's songs as lyrically powerful and stated that he had rarely seen better. Eddie Rayner (Crowded House, Former Musical Director New Zealand Idol) was also impressed by Brent's 'powerful lyrics and great hooks'.

With multiple wins in the Tasmania/New Zealand Songwriting Awards, TSA SEQ National Songwriting Competition and the Northern Territory Songwriting Awards, a semi-finalist spot in the UK Songwriting Contest, three finalist placings in the Australian National Country Songwriting Contest and an Honourable Mention in the Billboard World Songwriting Contest, Brent's songwriting pedigree is impeccable and his talents undeniable. His extensive catalogue spans several genres including comedy, Australiana, country, ballads and jazz.

Brent also performs in the role of Kris Kristofferson in Australia's highly-acclaimed Highwaymen Tribute Show.
