ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Irish guitarist Brian Farrell began his classical guitar studies with the late Barry Lawlor and has been teaching for over 35 years.

Winning all major Irish music competitions Brian’s performing career has taken him through many mediums such as television and radio. He has played in many countries with many solo and ensemble performances.

Brian has written a small number of original compositions but is mainly recognised for his arrangements of popular songs for guitar.

Recordings to date: Luminoso, True Colors, SixDancers, Copper Lines, Sevilla, Irena, By Lindisfarne, Chaconne, The Black Decameron & Dew Drop.

Blair Jackson, Editor of Classical Guitar Magazine said about By Lindisfarne (the music of Steve Marsh). Bucolic beauty and sweet sadness in atmospheric gem…. The recording is superb and Farrell’s playing sparkles like morning dew throughout.

A wealth of sensitively-recorded music and an album that you will listen to its end assuredly. Paddy Kehoe RTE Radio, commenting on Sevilla & Luminoso albums.
