Album Notes
Brian Gari has been gaining a great deal of recognition of late with his salute to Brian Wilson and his Brian Sings Wilson CD. His new album is a collection of songs recorded over the past 15 years, but never before released. The songs certainly have the Brian Wilson influence, but also shows his love for the British recordings of the 60s with his collaboration on a song with British hit songwriter Mitch Murray (remember HOW DO YOU DO IT?, I LIKE IT, I'M TELLING YOU NOW?) There is also a very touching tribute to a victim of 9/11. It also includes the lyrics to all the songs.

The hits just keep on coming!
I've been a fan of Brian's music for more years than I care to mention. His Brian Sings Wilson was a huge favorite and fans of his Brian Wilson tinged work will not be disappointed here. Beta's Song could easily have fit into the instrumental package that was a key element of Pet Sounds.

I love these songs
At this stage in my life, I assumed the book of my favorite songs and songwriters was closed. But that book has been opened and rewritten after listening to Brian Gari's CDs. And "Previously Unreleased" is a prime example. His haunting and tender "Mon Oncle" makes me cry everytime I listen; it has become my favorite song ever. I also adore "Horse Of A Different Color," about carriage horses in Central Park, and "Early That Day," about one of the victims of 9/11. And, as a big fan of '60s British Invasion hits, I wax nostalgic when I hear "One Of These Days." Oh, how that takes me back! But I thoroughly enjoy every song in this collection. Brian Gari has a knack for conjuring up memorable melodies that match the mood of his sensitively-penned lyrics. He succeeds everytime! He has become my favorite songwriter ever and each of his CDs even more firmly entrenches him in that honored top spot! In our household, Brian Gari is as well-known as Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and all the others. But, in my opinion, they bow to him! This CD is proves why.

A story in every song, easy to pick up the melodies
First time I heard Brian Gari was when I saw a video of his tribute to my all time idol Neil Sedaka. I was impressed by his sincere interpretations of Neil's songs and his easy, pleasant personality.
I was completely bowled over by the songs on this album - every one is a complete story and I found myself humming along with the melodies during the first play of the disc.
Thanks Brian for opening up a new avenue in music for me, I can't wait to hear more!

The Prolific and Amazing Brian does it again
I just got finished listening to the CD. I have to tell you Brian.....there is literally NO one I know.....who could do what you do. Your ability and talent always amazes me. I mean...who could write a song and get the word "Titanic" in it. :)

The song about cherishing your loved ones made me cry....as did the sad WTC song.

Thanks for the CD. I really enjoyed it.

Another great collection from Brian Gari
A great collection of work from a prolific singer/song-writer, this CD serves as a very entertaining sampler of his many styles and musical moods. You'll go from a tune that feels like the best of early, fun rock and roll to serious emotions to a very unique, intimate and tender look at a terrible day in our very recent history. It's always good to hear what Mr. Gari has created and this CD covers a lot of musical ground.

Excellent new CD, one of his very best!!!
Brian Gari's latest CD is one of his very best works to date. It spans the emotional spectrum from feelings of loss to the joys of finding that special someone. My favorite cuts are Mon Oncle (devastating) and While They're Still Here (profoundly moving). As with Brian Gari's previous works, there is something here to provide illumination to the soul as well as life lessons. Excellent Stuff!!!

brian gari is a great down to earth guy with a talent that is amazing...i recently saw mr. gari for a tribute to my idol neil sedaka and he was superb and gracious and fantastic...the audiences were overwhelmed at his performance..the new brian gari cd "previously unreleased" which is a great title in itself, gives audiences and fans a real treat and honest and refreshing addition to music..brian gari will be something to cherish in the near future if not already.....and promises to be a household name to all who appreciate the sounds of great music....you will see!!!!

Brian Gari is and has always been one of my favorite songwriters. He was a big influence on me musically. This is a fantastic cd that once again shows off Brian's talent and diversity as a songwriter. They are the kind of songs that you can hear over and over again and never get tired of them. Bravo!!

Two opposable thumbs up!
It has been stated that tragedy plus time = comedy.
I'd like to suggest the following equation:
Music minus Brian Gari = tragedy.
Apparently Mr. Olmsted's no slouch either.
Congrats on a great new release.
