ant time at all
a great rendition of beatle songs i love.beautifully done with a different slant on the,s fun to try to identify the songs and when you do ,you appreciate the professional manner in which the songs are presented.a fantastic cd!

Rich Grady

Beatles’ songs are part of the tunes-sphere that I grew up with, and to hear them played as jigs and reels is like hearing them again for the first time – different, original, and uplifting. To weave traditional rhythm patterns into such recognizable melodies is both innovative and enlivening, and the craftsmanship of the musicians is a pleasure to the ears -- and you can dance to it!

Play this with a fire in winter...!
...It's the pinnacle of music that doubles as lovely background or to listen to attentively. I've always found Irish music becoming a little grating after several songs but with these guys' mastery and our culturally ingrained Beatles familiarity, this is truly a gift. It's really good. And I'm not easily amused. Been taking out my Martin guitar and playing along. Damned good stuff. The recap of the cool international instruments and Brian Hebert's inspiration on the cover is great too. This is a treasure.

Any Time At All
Like many, I grew up in England with Beatles music as my soundtrack. Theirs was the first music I bought and for a while all that I bought. So I hold their songs very dear and I don't usually like other people's versions of their music (although I do like the Cirque de Soleil album "Love" and also "Rubber Folk," folk versions of the songs from "Rubber Soul" that came out a couple of years ago). But I really love this album! One of the pleasurable surprises is that the arrangements aren't obvious; there are a number tunes that are hard to recognize the first or second times through as being Beatles songs. And many that ARE recognizable that are also inventive. I've tried the album out on a number of different friends and it receives universal acclaim. It's one of those things that seems an obvious thing to do, yet the result is so refreshing. I agree with Rich Grady's comment that it's like hearing the tunes again for the first time. An utter delight.

What\'s not to like?
Who doesn\'t love the Beatles? And if you also love acoustic music, this cd is a winner. The lyrics will be running in your head as you listen, but these instrumental versions, converted into \"session tunes,\" allow the listener to focus on the beauty of the music itself, and realize once again what genius there was in those songs that we sometimes remember as simple melodies. Brian Hebert has done a fantastic job in adapting these tunes, and chosen some very high quality musicians to assist him.
