Album Notes
This track is a moody, but upbeat song that was started on the plane on the way back back from a music conference in Seville in Spain. The worldwide banking system had just finished melting down and nobody knew what this would mean to everybody's personal situation. The last verse is based on a traditional bar in the heart of the old city, where the old buildings have wrought iron grills over the windows and doors for ventilation in the heat of the day. Hams hung from the ceiling to be used for tapas and the bar staff had no technology apart from a piece of chalk to keep a tab for each customer on the ancient oak bar top.

The track was recorded at the Andy Neve's studio in Oxfordshire and he played keys, sang backing vocals and programmed the backing track. Brian did the lead vocals and played electric and acoustic guitars.

Brian Heywood is an Australian musician who plays live in both the Roots/Fusion genre and the Rock/Pop world. As well as live performance, he also composes for live and video/film soundtracks, produce and engineer for recordings in a variety of styles.

A guitarist, vocalist, bandleader, arranger, composer, producer and award winning song writer - Brian has a formidable array of skills and experience. He is just as at home on a big festival stage in outback Western Australia as an indie live music club in the heart of London.

Specializing in edgy roots fusion music, previous work has received comments such as "Just when it seemed as if newer electric British roots bands were getting thinner on the ground - Very welcome and very good." - fROOTS Magazine (UK) and Steve Barnes Fairbridge Festival Artistic Director (Australia) - "... a rocking band - I was delighted with the audience response."

Brian's original material draws on many sources from progressive, Latin and blues rock of the 70's to Celtic and traditional material.
