Album Notes
The short of it...with encouragement from friends John Hall and Jonathan Edwards, Brian set out to put together a collection of songs with the thought in mind of interesting recording artists in recording them. Meanwhile, in a short span of time, in addition to Edwards, Hall, and Hall's former band, Orleans, he opened shows for Richie Havens, Tom Rush and Marshall Crenshaw at the fabled Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA. With a growing number of fans asking for a CD Brian figured it was time to respond to the request. After a couple of weeks of preliminary sessions with John Hall at Millbrook Sound Studios in New York the project headed to GBP Studios in East Lansing, MI. Some fourteen trips between Massachusetts and Michigan later, a thirteen song disc was ready. The last leg of the project took Brian to Gateway Studios in Portland, ME for mastering by Grammy Award winner Bob Ludwig. The final product has something for everyone, blending different styles and beats combined with lyrics that run the full spectrum of emotions.
