Album Notes
When it comes to versatility in skill, Britt Moore could be considered a quintessential renaissance man. In his 27 years, he has taken part in many professions, from growing up working on his family farm in Seneca, SC, to rodeo steer wrestling champion and athletic standout in high school, college football student-athlete, to his years post-university working with his fathers construction company, and later, earning an Associate’s degree in Machine Tool & Die from his hometown technical college and working in the steel manufacturing trade. Opportunity has led Britt in several directions over the years, but one thing has always remained a constant…His love and desire to play music.

When Britt was around 10 years old, he took his first steps into truly learning an instrument when his parents purchased him a Peavey bass starter bundle. He found his first love musically in the bass guitar and would continue to hone his skills on the instrument for the next several years, learning and mastering an array of genres from country, bluegrass and southern rock, to more complex styles such as R&B, funk and jazz. It is in learning the bass guitar that Britt developed a fondness for not only the country style of his roots, but multiple genres of music. By the time Britt was in high school, he had become proficient on the bass, and was sought after by several peers for garage band sessions, as well as standing in with his father’s band on occasion. It was around the age of sixteen that Britt started to become more interested in expanding his horizons as a musician, and as fate would have it, he won an acoustic guitar during a raffle at a local music venue. With his knowledge of the bass guitar, along with his father teaching him a basic three-chord structure, he began taking to the acoustic guitar almost immediately. Learning by ear and playing along bedside next to his stereo, Britt started to mold his newly found craft, playing and rewinding his favorite songs over and over, hammering out the structure until it was perfect.

Throughout the remainder of his high school years on through college, Britt would keep a guitar in hand nearly around the clock when he wasn’t in rodeo or playing a sport, playing amongst friends and taking every opportunity to build his music repertoire. Eventually, opportunity led Britt to take his skills to the nightclubs and bars, where he continues to hone his skills as a singer/musician, gaining his following and doing what he has, and always will love most...Entertaining the people and sharing his love for music.
