Album Notes
Born in Rio de Janeiro and currently residing in Los Angeles, guitarist and composer Pedro Bromfman has been writing, playing and producing music professionally for over a decade. He graduated Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, majoring in performance and composition, and went on to study film scoring at UCLA. A multi-faceted musician, Pedro has worked as a session musician, a producer, an arranger and a composer.

He started his professional career as a Jazz guitarist, playing and recording with some of the best musicians in Brazil. In 2000 Pedro went on to form his own instrumental group and recorded his debut album, the critically acclaimed and award winning Pe-de-Moleque. The album featured some of the best instrumentalists in Brazil, accomplished studio musicians and renowned recording artists like Sebatião Tapajós and Carlos Malta. It combined Pedro’s original compositions with his arrangements for music by Paquito D’Rivera, Hermeto Pascoal, Michel Camilo and Djavan. Pe-de-moleque also featured Catraias, a beautiful acoustic guitar duo composed by Sebastião Tapajós and performed by Pedro Bromfman and Tapajós himself.

Pedro gained much recognition as the producer and musical director for Pe-de-Moleque and was hired as a music producer for Unlimited Records, label distributed by Sony Music Brazil. While producing other artists Pedro continued to tour South America, Europe and the USA with his band.

Pedro Bromfman currently lives in Los Angeles and works extensively writing and orchestrating music for Films, Documentaries, TV Shows, Trailers and Commercials. He performs with his Jazz group and several other artists including American Idol's Ryan Starr and has established himself as a session musician, recording on several film scores and commercials.

Pedro has composed music for such companies as: 20th Century Fox, ABC, ESPN, National Geographic, Ant Farm, APM, Extreme Music, Sonoton, Rip Tide, BMW, Nokia and Max Havelaar. He is currently collaborating with José Padilha, the acclaimed director of "Bus 174", on his feature project "Tropa de Elite" (Universal) and preparing his new CD.
