Album Notes
Brother Rock is a life-time labor of love. Randy Gabbard, the band's founder and co-producer, has been playing professionally since the 70's in bands opening for the likes of Cheap Trick, Molly Hatchet, and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Hailing from Cincinnati, Randy has been making music for the majority of his life. Still, every band, every gig from then until now, has been a warm up for this band and this time.
Brother Rock, starting out as a band project turned into much more. While the main core of the band was Randy (Guitar and Vocals), John Radebaugh (Guitar and BGV's), Julie Radebaugh (Keyboards and Vocals), Lejoe Young (Drums and percussion), and Rick Taylor (Bass) they were joined by a great number of Nashville's known musicians such as; Greg Jennings of Restless Heart, Nick Kane of The Mavericks, Andy Gerome (Cleveland rocker, now Nashvillite one time member of Savoy Brown), John Mattick (Session and touring keyboard ace) , John Aldridge (Drummer extraordinaire and current drum tech for REO Speedwagon), Slide phenomenon Sam Stafford, "Murph" Wanca Hammond player and Tech"Dude", and many others. But not to be left out, because the Cd is dedicated to him, "T-Bone" Hannon who had played Bass with Amy Grant, Jewel, and too many other national league artists to mention. T-Bone died of a brain aneurysm while visiting family in Detroit, he is sorely missed. These are just a sampling of the artists and musicians who took part in this recording, all are mentioned in the liner notes of the CD and all had a profound impact on the project. These musicians lent their talents to the project in support of the band and the music. As one of the guest artists wiped off the sweat after playing, he said, "This stuff's cool that somebody's still making music that's timeless."

The premier CD from Brother Rock, "Rock-n-Roll Shoes" has been five years in the making. Recorded and mixed, by Jim Stelluto and Shane Gue at Entropy Studio and mastered by Jim Demain at Yes Master both in Nashville.

The CD is Bluesy-Rock, fun and provocative. This music was made for everyone from Baby Boomers to today's Rockin' Roll Animals. Time may go by, but the spirit of Rock-n-Roll lives on and that spirit is a torch that Brother Rock is more than glad to carry, and carry proudly.

Great guitar work, simple "classic" rock style songs with new appeal.
I like it, it's simple but it rocks!! There's some really great songs, kind of reminds me of early 70's to mid 80's but I like that because i think that when some of my favorite music was made. I can definately hear Andy Gerome on the couple of songs. His playing is highly recognizeable and is just awesome!
The rest of the disc seems to have a few other really good players on it as well. I think Randy has proven his skills as a great writter for this genre. Highly recomend it for those who are into guitar rock with a bit of intelegence to it. Good stuff, hope there's a 2nd disc on the way.
