Album Notes
Brother JT (John Terlesky) has been cranking out various forms of acid-infused garage pop since 1985, first under the name the Original Sins before incarnating under his present monicker in the early '90's. His recorded output has found it's way onto several dozen albums over the decades, sometimes on indie labels like Bar/None, Siltbreeze, Drag City, Birdman, and Thrill Jockey, and sometimes self-released, as in the case of ON HIGH. Recorded at the band's practice space on a shaky laptop and overdubbed in Terlesky's dank living room, the album is a series of aural snapshots conveying life through the altered eyes of an aging true believer in the verities of the Rock via derangement of the senses. "If I stop recording songs the Spirits told me I will burst into flames," he has been heard to comment, "and I'd prefer not to do that at this time."
