Album Notes
BROTHERS3 are a dynamic trio of teenage siblings and they have already attracted great attention around the folk and Country music circuit.

Brothers3 won the award for Best New Group at the Canberra Country Music Festival and then went on to be a finalist in the TSA Salute Awards for Songwriter of the Year.

Since then, the trio of multi-instrumentalists (banjo, recorders, guitars, mandolin, keyboards, harmonica, bass, trumpet, clarinet, chalumeau) and vocalists (Shardyn 14, Tayzin 13 and Makirum 12) have been performing their diverse material to their fans across Australia with great success. The boy’s diverse musical talents see them swapping instruments on stage as they accompany themselves while singing their songs about nature, the bush and country.

The boys perform Folk, Traditional Country and Blue Grass music and have been making an impact on all that watch their vivid performances.
Festivals include: Gulgong Folk, St Albans Folk, Canberra Country, Tamworth Country Music, Kangaroo Valley Folk, Blue Water Country, The Royal Easter Show, and the Canberra National Multi-Cultural Festival. Brothers3 also perform in clubs around Canberra and NSW.

These boys have harmonies that rock. They are not just a boy band that sings. They also are talented musicians who can play a variety of instruments. Their unique country sound rings true to the country ethos and is truly exciting.
(Hardrush Music, 2010)

Their music video clips are directed by three times Golden Guitar Award winner, ROSS WOOD. The clips 'Road to Carcalgong' and 'Where the Eagles Fly' can be currently seen on the Country Music Channel on Foxtel. Brothers3 music is being played on radio in across Australia and in the USA and Europe.

Brothers3 album Where the Eagles Fly features 10 original country titles that the boys co-wrote on their farm in the NSW Central Western Slopes. The album was recorded and engineered by Mo award winning vetran Ben Robertson from the Robertson Brothers. The trio have just laid the beds for their second album and its all original heritage feel is tipped to be another great success.

Brothers3 recently were chosen by MTVVideo-USA for Best Video Clip for 2010 June/ July with their Rockabilly song 'Where the Eagles Fly'.The boy’s acoustic folk work is truly beautiful. Their harmonies are pure and their recorder ensemble work demonstrate lovely instrumental blends (bass, treble, tenor, sopranino and descant).

To top it off these boys also dance! All boys are trained in jazz, tap and ballet and with these skills they include a wild Celtic Reel (Riverdance style with complex tap) or a Hillbilly tap (in workboots) in their performance. Brothers3 are unique and fresh in their style as well as entertaining. Their music is available on Itunes and from all leading digital retail outlets. The boys sing and play from the heart of their country telling their stories and clearly enjoying everything they sing about.

Brothers3 have already attracted major interest from various media and country and folk festivals across Australia.Shardyn worked with High Jackman playing 'Young Peter' in the Arena tour of 'Boy from Oz'. Makirum and Shardyn also played along side of Warren Williams and John Williamson in the wonderful Australian musical,'Quambatook'. All three boys have worked with Opera Australia in different productions and have had extensive choral and TV experience (Home and Away, All Saints, Happy Feet, My Place etc).

Besides performing on stage, Brothers3 offer workshops in recorder for beginners and for those interested in this wonderful medieval instrument.

"What we aim to do is tell stories through our music. There are so many people who have a special tale... So many poignant moments which can be expressed through song and instrumentation". (Makirum, 2010).

They and love the traditional charm and stories embellished in the roots of blue grass and folkloric music.

Three Part Harmony . . .
The Brother's3 continue to delight with soaring harmonies and up-tempo ballads that showcase their great talent. Nothing dissapoints. "The Wild Rose", "There's Gold", & "Wattle Fire" shine as Gems.
