Album Notes
"Ain't Getting No Younger" is a phrase that Matthew Maris Grobins- a Hall family friend- used many times and is the theme for this album. This album is dedicated to his memory. These songs are upbeat and exciting but underneath all the good vibes, it is tragedy that inspired this album. Matt drowned in a boating accident several years ago and it is his memory that we wish to honor with these songs. Musically, the album pays full homage to our heroes. The dueling guitars of Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, the peaceful acoustic guitar rhythms of John Denver, the vocal deliveries and groove of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the southern drawl of Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton and other "island country" rockers, the musical hooks of Steve Miller, the bluesy vibe, funky keyboards, and well written song formats all together are the inspiration that make this album a blast to listen to again and again.
