Album Notes
From experimental rhythm based slap you in the face funk like “Opener” and “Funky Worm” to more knee slapping acoustic melodies like “Black Olive” and “Optimist” this album’s got it all. There’s the free-form-funk-trio-jazz of “Free Range Rhythm” (with guest guitarist Dave Erickson), the curious, ominous and trippy “Beat 36” (GREAT with headphones!) as well a one of the tightest bass / conga grooves of all time in “Draw the Line.” If you are looking for fresh and diverse you won’t be disappointed.

All physical CD’s come with a 6 page, color insert containing lyrics and artwork.

So put aside some time to chill out, turn up the bass on some decent speakers and get you some of Brough’s Olives & Optimists!
