Album Notes
When novelist, filmmaker and music producer Stephen Pytak embarked on "Dancing Shadows," a music and film project, in 2012, he commissioned a few artists to interpret the material. Among them were pianist Bruce A. Marianelli and singer and actress Jenna McBreen.

Stephen wrote the lyrics for "Dancing Shadows." When the film was released on DVD in October 2012, he dubbed the version of the song featured in the film "The Blue Version." While he was satisfied with it, he believed he could further improve it in time. In 2014, Stephen returned to the editing room and made a few very subtle changes which, to him, were meaningful. "Dancing Shadows (Theme from the Film)" is the final cut. When the director's cut of the film and a new version of the soundtrack is released in late 2014, this version of the song will be included.

Stephen is the publisher at Mazz Press, based in Port Carbon, Pa. He is known for writing a series of novels following the adventures of a low-rent mercenary known as "The .40 Caliber Mouse." The fourth book in the series, "Katerina Blues," was released in 2013. Since 2010, Stephen has made a few short films and hired musicians to produce music related to the series. "Dancing Shadows" is both a film and a music project. Jenna, who has appeared in two of Stephen's films, reprises her role as "Marci," former FBI agent turned mercenary. The film also stars dancer and model Ariel Fulmer as "Kim Barron."
