Album Notes
Bruised Fruit is a band born in a barn in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The core band has been playing together since they were pre-teens so their debut release is long overdue. Now based in Louisville, Kentucky, Bruised Fruit is gaining a dedicated following of fans ranging from their 20-something peers to those old enough to have listened to classic rock before it was classic.

Not only has the band been playing together for over a decade, they have been writing original songs for almost as long. To say this debut release is long overdue is a bit of an understatement. Those that have been following the band for any length of time have been impatiently waiting for the band to finally release an album and now, their prayers have been answered.

While it is hard to categorize this band's sound - the basis of their musical influences and sensibility is purely rock and roll. Guitars still rule this bands sound with a driving rhythm section to rival the best of their classic rock heroes. Beyond the musicianship and songwriting talent, this band feels at once both classic and progressive.

It is safe to say, there are few bands like this one. Firmly footed in the classic rock and roll tradition of guitars, drums and bass while at the same time fresh, new and original. If you are truly a fan of rock and roll, you owe it to yourself to take a listen.
