ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Oso Perezoso is the first solo album of cellist and composer, Bryan Charles Wilson. A mixture of hard hitting instrumental tracks combined with soulful and melodic solo cello compositions creates an undeniable listening experience. The sonic landscape is filled with synths and hip hop drumbeats, all while maintaining a strong cello line in the melody. It's truly a unique take on the cello and an exploration of the exponential possibilities of the instrument. Wilson's compositional aesthetic ranges from a dark and mournful elegy on One in the Chamber to a buoyant jubilation on Little Minh. Wilson is a graduate of CalArts, the cellist for the acclaimed post-rock band, You Bred Raptors?, the founder and manager of the Bryan Wilson Cello Studio, and the author of the hit book, Cello Chords.
