Album Notes
My name is Bryan Wisda. In 2014 I became a Deputy Sheriff, my dream job. Then in 2016, while conducting a traffic stop on a suspected DUI motorist I was shot in the line of duty. While recovering, I started playing the guitar and taking lessons. Since I have been an obsessive student of the guitar and music theory.

Our oldest son, Cale(11) has ADHD. He takes a stimulant medication to help himget him through the day successfully. The medication works phenomenally well and he is a happy boy and successful student. A side effect of the medication causes trouble sleeping at night. Because Cale has a hard time getting to sleep at night and will get out of bed every chance he has my wife or I would stay in his room until he fell asleep. It was not uncommon for this to be a 1-3 hour event every night!

Occasionally, I would play my guitar for him to help him fall asleep. I would play basic songs and practice scales. In time I noticed a unique phenomenon -- he fell asleep faster when I played random notes in scale patterns versus when I played a song. This was the start of ADHD Lullaby.

I began doing research and read countless scientific journals in the fields of Audiology, Music Therapy, Neuroscience, and Psychiatry related to sleep and ADHD. By summer 2018 I had perfected a method of recording music which helped put Cale to sleep fast. I shared these initial recordings with friends who have children with ADHD. Their results results were similar to mine. By the Fall of 2018 I was committed to publishing an album for ADHD children to help them sleep.

ADHD Lullaby is not just an album of calming music -- it is a revolutionary advancement in the functional use of sound.
Everything part of the album has purpose and is designed to be played in order. Do not play the album in shuffle mode.

This album is intended for children ages 6-13. If you, or your child, are too much older you will likely only find the album relaxing as your sleeping heart rate is faster.

The suggested best practice for listening to ADHD Lullaby is to play the album through from start to finish. Then, after your child has fallen asleep, play any song (track 10-15) on repeat or play tracks 10-15 on repeat.

Wearing headphones is ideal. Some of the frequencies embedded are isolated in each ear -- it also sounds better musically. If headphones are not available or your child won't wear them there is no significant loss of effect. Second to headphones, a stereo system is preferred to a single (mono) speaker. Stereo speakers should flank the the bed rather than both speakers being on only one side. This will help deliver the isolated frequencies to the proper ear. When selecting headphones or speakers it is recommended you not select a system which adds bass. Some headphone and speakers, which sound great, are known to add bass . The music in ADHD Lullaby has already been equalized based on neuroscience -- headphones or speakers which add bass will distort the embedded frequencies and potentially reduce the efficacy. Professional studio speakers or headphones which cost $100 are recommended.
