Album Notes
Rebel Man is a warm and beautiful album of Haworth originals and traditional songs, magnificently arranged and played by some of the finest musicians in the land. There’s plenty to enjoy here with Haworth’s trademark slide guitar in both acoustic and electric guise to the fore.
From the rock and roll shuffle of Love Me Like You Used To Do, the smouldering reggae groove of Rebel Man, (featuring Eric Clapton band regulars Henry Spinetti, Dave Bronze and Michelle John), to Bryn’s classic love song Moments (which was Sandy Denny’s very last recording), the album never fails to touch the heart.
Mike Rimmer for Cross Rhythms May 2015: … Great vibe! … Rebel Man is Haworth on top form!
Bert Seraco for Phantom Tolbooth May 2015: Rebel Man is signature Bryn Haworth—elegant, tasty guitar work, warm, well performed vocals, and a straight forward spiritual world view all nestled in classic rock and roll with a bluesy edge and always full of hope.
