Album Notes
The Banana Slug String Band (BSSB) is a group of four musicians that have been entertaining and educating communities nation-wide for more than 20 years. Focusing on family and primary school-aged audiences of all cultural backgrounds, The BSSB performances and school workshops combine their original compositions with puppets, theater, and audience participation to create a lively learning environment within their shows. Vocals, guitar, banjo, percussion, harmonica and bass are the modes through which the BSSB imparts knowledge, inspiration and the message to take care of the planet. Over the years the BSSB has brought their joyous music to thousands of children, demonstrating that it can be fun and easy to learn about Earth Science while singing.
