ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This song was written because going to county meeting after county meeting, and writing letter after letter, did no good. “Road Fighter” is in the vein of many of the B-town House Band’s other political songs, but this one is close to home- through Ann’s neighbors’ yards. If this third piece goes foreward, is likely to cost > $50M for about 1 mile has had vocal opposition since it was first announced. Why would anyone add a 4 lane truck route through a residential neighborhood when there is a commercial road a few blocks north? This one already has a connection to the interstate highway. Why would anyone run trucks at high speed past a middle school, building a giant road to replace the existing street that is currently low traffic because it a dead end? Is it really a good idea to put park benches and trash cans in people’s front yards? Matt Romy plays keys and acoustic guitar, and does lead vocals, Evan Copelly does bass and electric guitar, and is the voice of dissent within our heads. Ben Fowler plays drums, and did the recording and mixing. Andy Beargie sampled and added the road noises and did the mastering. Ann Elsner wrote the song and worked with Andy to find just the right awful road sounds. Welcome to her world.
