My Music, My Songs, My Spirit ....
Ralph Budgell was born and raised in Eastern Canada with his early years spent in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on Hammond's Farm. He was schooled at King's College in Windsor, N.S. and Colonial Grey P.E.I. Ralph has been composing songs since he was fifteen years old (Our Love, Little Jeff). A Jasper, Alberta resident since 1968 he worked for the CNR until retirement in 2000 (The Railway Song). During a move back east in the late '70s he attained his black belt in Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do. These he taught upon his return to Jasper and the railway in the '80s. Before retiring he developed the Blue River Campground and RV Park in Blue River, British Columbia. He currently spends his time there during the summer months - and when time permits entertains his guest with some of the songs he has written. Several of the songs on this CD are from the emotion created from specific events in his life (Sally Ann, You Do It All, You Are The Lady). Others were created for fun - Rock Me, Rollin'Along. Ralph has a family filled with children and grandchildren to keep him busy in the winter when he's not skiing or working on new songs.
