Album Notes
The debut recording of the transatlantic Irish duo of American multi-instrumentalist Robin Bullock and Parisian flute and whistle player Michel Sikiotakis, France's first All-Ireland whistle champion (whose virtuoso flight on "The Whistling Postman" must be heard to be believed). Pure drop Irish airs, jigs, reels and hornpipes lovingly rendered by two masters of the craft.

"Four stars! Highly recommended" - All Music Guide

"This is a gorgeous collection of (mostly) Irish instrumentals from well-known string wizard Robin Bullock and former All-Ireland Champion flutist Michael Sikiotakis. Bullock's playing, on guitar and bouzouki, is subtle enough to let the whole range of flute dynamics through. Sikiotakis is, simply, a genius!" - Sing Out

"Much-travelled American Irish guitar and bouzouki hero meets French wooden flute and whistle player, music collector and All-Ireland champion in a Parisian-Irish pub, and the result is...well, jolly good. Great tunes, great musicianship and a live spontaneous feel...who needs a big band?" - Folk Roots

A wonderful music experience
I totally agree with the other review. I love this CD. There is a spontaneous, in the room with them feel that is so wonderful. The Whistling Postman and O'Carolan's Welcome alone are worth the price of the CD.

The music on all are 5 star
Since my beloved wife, who passed away are both from Mother Ireland,we have missed the irish culture. At one time, we found an irish music store in NYC, and added Ireland Mother Ireland to our collection, which was damaged when moving. She, from Old Dublin, always kept Dublin in the rare old times as a favorite. When attended concerts here by the Wolfetones,Clancy Brothers, and Chieftains.Irish music has been the greatest fund raiser for PBS, beginning with Frank Paterson, then John McDermott.Riverdance is always in demand.I thank you for bringing to me, some of the Ireland I knew so well. I was born in Galway in 1933, joined the US Army in 1951,to become a citizen, was wounded in Korea, then spent 3 more years in Germany,as a commo chief in the First Infantry Division, and could hear the music on one of our many radios.
God Bless.
I am 73, and have little money, since this Bush spends it like it grows on trees, so I can't spend much.
