ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Byron was founded by song-writer / producer Ian Macdonald in 2003 as way to record and share his more romantic tales. Ian met singer-songwriter Klaus White through a friend and found the perfect voice to convey these heart and soul stories and in 2003 Byron’s first single “My Heaven” was produced.

After a break while Ian was working and living in Asia, in 2007 Byron went back into the studio to record a mini album of six songs telling tales of perfect days in Bangkok, catching waves in Phuket, wide-eyed nights in the Pussy Parlour in Singapore and closer to home, Ian’s next door neighbour’s wife. The result is a beautiful little record called “17”. Ninety per cent of the lyrics are absolute fact but Ian’s not sharing which lines make up the ten per cent! Why call the record 17? Well, two of the songs are about a girl who told Ian it was amazing to feel like she was 17 again. Hopefully we all end up with someone who can make us feel like teenagers again regardless of whether we’re in our twenties or our seventies.
