ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
100 Worlds continues the progressive rock legacy initiated by Byron Nemeth's "2000" CD, this time with thirteen instrumentals with Nemeth's impressionistic guitar supported by the keyboards of Jimm Motyka, the drums of Jeff Curenton and the bass of Brian Glodde.

100 Worlds was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London by Nick Webb, who has engineered many great albums, such as Queen's "News Of The World", Iron Maiden's "The Number Of The Beast" and many other classics.

Guest artists such as Joe Deninzon (violin) and Dominick Fariacci (trumpet) also make solo appearances on the Nemeth engineered and mixed recording. Travel within a strong variety of sounds and textures with an international flavor on tracks such as "Russian Winter", "La Luz De Barcelona", "Majestic Overture" and "Tsunami Sea".

Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Progressive/Rock), total running time, 66:33

Byron Nemeth Group - “100 Worlds” – a superb guitar player!
With his album “100 Worlds” Nemeth determine his reputation as a Virtuoso on the guitar.
This is guitar based progressive rock with elements of fusion Add the keyboards of Jimm Motyka, the drums of Jeff Curenton and the bass of Brian Glodde, and the result will be as unique as this. Byron Nemeth is (as far I can se), an “unknown” guitar player. That’s a shame when you’re in the same league as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci and musicians like that. I hope more people will get familiar with Nemeth’s music, and discover how good he really is. Well produced, outstanding performance from Byron and his band, and the sound is good too. Conclusion; if you like guitar and specific progressive rock based guitar plus good melodies, BUY this CD! Spread the word about Byron Nemeth! Don’t forget to check out Nemeth’s other work. The CD’s can be found here at this very shop. 5 stars! No more, no less. Highly recommended!

"100 Wounds" is above all suited for music lovers who appreciate skilled musicians showing off their skills but it is definitely melodic and heavy enough to be enjoyed by metal fans as well. I like the fact that it's instrumental because adding vocals would probably have ruined much of the experience. I personally would have preferred the album to be slightly heavier but it is nonetheless very well done. Stand-out tracks: "Lightning's Touch", "Russian Winter", "Tsunami Sea".

great instrumentalists
Along the lines of great instrumentalists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Nemeth could be one of thee best unknown guitar players of our time, but maybe not for long.
