Worked in the recording studio with folks like Vince Gill and Clarence Carter’s backup band. Put out a record in 1976 called If I Didn’t Love You. Group name at that time was Alabama. Currently: member of Nashville Songwriters Association International, President of the Central Alabama Writers Guild and Alliance, member of ASCAP, honorary member of the National Underwater and Marine Agency, which is owned by his friend, famous author Clive Cussler.

Song Saddle Up , written by Cabot Barden and John T. Wayne. A tribute to the actor John Wayne. Barden has had songs on the radio on five different occasions. He worked in Nashville for five years. He has performed with many famous musicicians like Mickey Gilley, Vince Gill, Grayson Hughe, the Georgia Satelites, and many others.John T. Wayne is an author and grandson of the actor John Wayne. This is his first collaboration writing a song. Barden and Wayne arre both award winning authors with many books written about historical fiction.
