Who would imagine that when going through old boxes, ya’d stumble upon a treasure of music reels recorded in legendary studios? Well, that is what the Harrisons and a family friend recently found while moving boxes into storage. One of those gems is a song called, "Rebound!"

In 1984, the honey-haired, hazel-eyed Nashville-born beauty was living in Memphis, and pursuing a career in music. Camille’s father, music promoter Shelton Harrison had recognized her talent and work ethic early on, when at age 4, she would perform songs with her Mother, a classical pianist and teacher. Through the years, Shelton took on the role of executive producer, and began booking recording sessions in both Nashville and Memphis to give her experience in the studio. That’s how, at the age of 19, Camille found herself recording her first original composition at Leon Russell’s Paradise Studios in Hendersonville, TN. The obvious excitement of the studio musicians is evident when you listen to their playing on this recording. And Camille’s raw vocal delivery of her sultry lyric lures with phrasing and the interweaving of vocal harmonies, giving the listener an early glimpse of the depth of her talent and passion for her art.

“Rebound” was widely critically acclaimed at the time, although some in the Country Music industry worried that it was a little “too Rock for Country.” Perhaps a better way to look at it is that it was somewhat ahead of its time. Today, with the blurred lines of music genres, this newly re-mastered version of Harrison’s first original song, “Rebound,” shines like a brand new diamond, and can definitely hold its own in any market.
