Album Notes
Thanks for finding this album here.
22 years ago, this album was recorded underneath The Queen's Hotel in Nanaimo, B.C Canada.
At the time I was not able to press many copies...In fact I don't know anyone who even HAS an old copy of this...I feel lucky to have recently found a disc with some familiar handwriting on it " Things People See'- 10 WAV files were on that disc, and this gave me the idea to re- release this album of songs even if 22 years had passed...I sent it back to Rick Salt, and he re-mastered it with all of his fancy toys!
It's just nice to add this to all of the albums I have had the chance to put out over the years, and gives me the chance to thank the musicians and friends who worked on it.
Produced,Recorded and Engineered by Rick Salt and featuring a tonne of local friends/musicians who are still working hard today, Things People See was printed to tape and was recorded before you could digitally manipulate everything...I clearly remember assisting with some of the engineering, sliding faders, and helping to literally cut and paste tape if there were mistakes...The thing that means even more is years after this album was recorded, there was a flood or something traumatic at the studio and the Reels of tape that were this album were destroyed...So finding the WAV files was a special treat for me.
The songs, I haven't heard in about 20 years, bring back some pretty emotional memories...The material is just a glimpse of what was going on in my brain and heart during my late teens to early adulthood...Feels a little cringe-y to me now how blunt and honest the lyrics are..I still feel very honest in my songwriting, I just think Ive grown up a lot....

A massive heartfelt thanks to the following friends:

Murray Creed and Eric Cormier...
These two were friends of mine from my Victoria Days...I grew up musically alongside them when I was in The Man With The Yellow Hat and they were the rhythm section of Fine Tooth Combine.

Marc Robichaud, Joel Spillette, David Gogo and Rick Salt...
These lovely people were and are musical mentors and lifelong friends from my time and life in Nanaimo...Over the years, I have been very grateful to still work with these guys on various projects.

Thanks for the support and love.
Camille xx
