Album Notes
Camille released her first CD, “Easy To Love” in 2006. It features Camille and a Jazz quartet on ten vintage tunes along with an inspiring cover of Brenda Russell’s, “The Last Day.” Her radiant voice shines on tunes like “When Sunny Gets Blue” and a Latin version of “Summertime.” The CD earned Camille a nomination in the jazz category at the Omaha Entertainment awards.

"What a delightful experience it is to hear this singer with a pristine tone, dead-center sense of pitch, and a deeply swinging rhythmic 'pocket'. I just LOVE the melodic lines in duet with sax, as well as her improvised soloing, which both nail the hippest notes possible! Even while the song choices are for the most part within the bounds of traditionally 'standard' material, Camille brings her own unique flavor to her interpretations, and the creativity of the arrangements keep the feeling fresh and fun."
Jennifer Barnes, Professional Vocalist and Teacher

"Cool, clear, and easy on the ear."
David Vernier, Reviewer

"We absolutely loved this album. Great vocals, good arrangements, and very savvy jazz feel about the whole project. We think Omaha should start sharing Camille with the rest of the musical world!"
Beegie Adair, Jazz Pianist

"The arrangements are very cool & varied and the band sounds great!"
Karrin Allyson, Grammy nominated Jazz Vocalist

"Camille's voice is a warm and welcoming presence, one that invites repeated listening." J.A.C Redford

"Great voice and piano and an outstanding rhythm section. You have that innocent quality in your voice with great time and control. It's jazz - not show tunes or pop so thanks for that." John Heim, KCCK

Camille DeVore

Easy To Love
Like a fine wine I have had the pleasure of hearing Camille's voice mature into the wonderful spectrum it now is. After hearing this CD I can say she is very good now and if she stays on this current path she is just around the corner from great. Her arrangements never seem to get in the way of her voice which is a good thing because you don't want to miss that voice especially when you get to "The Last Day". Its tenderness and expression make this CD worthwhile
