Album Notes
One of the more remarkable experiences that I had in my younger life was the three years that I lived in rural Appalachian Tennessee, on the border of Kentucky. The people that I met and grew to love made an impression on me. Some of their stories became the basis for the songs in this collection, some aided by my imagination more than others. I had the incredible luck to record these songs in Nashville, with musicians that I couldn't begin to afford now. For years, I loved the recordings, but I wanted to re-sing the vocals. I now present it in a newly mastered version with two added songs written about the same time period. Many thanks to Jim Cummings, one of my original producers and engineers, without whose help all this would not have been possible, and to the very talented Sam Ventura, the current producer and engineer.
I hope you enjoy Talking to a Tennessee Moon as much as I do.
