Album Notes
Over 20 years ago, I was most fortunate to have my husband Bob taking guitar lessons from Nicki Birkett. When he talked to her about purchasing a musical instrument for me she suggested the mountain dulcimer. I was the lucky one that Christmas and have never tired or learning new songs on this amazing instrument. Through the dulcimer, I have been introduced to the history of the Appalachian Mountains, it's fascinating heritage and people. My dad and mom, Noel and Phylis Walker, made music an important part in our family, just as their parents before them did. I hope I have passed that on to my children and grandchildren. I have taught at festivals throughout California and teach yearly in North Carolina in Cullowhee at the yearly dulcimer festival. You couldn't have more fun than playing this incredible little instrument. It truly is amazing.

Outstanding Mountain Dulcimer Music
This is a mountain dulcimer gem, the versatility of the instrument is outstanding, the song selection is just perfect and the vocals are very nice. It's one of the better CD's I have purchased in quite sometime.
