ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is an album of original compositions that continues musical and expressive qualities explored in my first recording "Music for Piano and Drums", as well as some new ones. The addition of bass, sax, and trumpet widens the palette in ways I am really happy with. I love exploring the juxtaposition of simple tonal melodies and harmonies with more raucous avant-garde aspects, as well as drawing on all the genres of music I've played over the last few decades in order to express what I want. I really appreciated the other musicians' contributions, and am honored by their presence on this cd.
