ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Raining in Yosemite is the premiere CD for Carmea, a mid-Michigan Women's Folk trio:
Looking back, countless infinitesimal steps have led to this very moment in time, exactly where we were always meant to be. Such is the evolution of Carmea. We labored for weeks to choose our name, seemingly “settling” on an anagram of our initials until we discovered that the Latin root of Carmea means “song, tune, poem or incantation.” Through Carmea we have discovered common threads musically, spiritually, politically and philosophically. “Raining in Yosemite” is our first tapestry. We hope that through our music you may feel entertained, hopeful and inspired to help us leave our world a better place.
Catherine Ellis, Rachel Alexander & Alma Muxlow, October 2009
