"Rain Forest Lament" "To Save the Rain Forest is to Save Ourselves" is an electronic composition of sounds of the rain forest and it's destruction, realized at South West State University now Texas State University Electronic Studio under Dr. Russell Reipe. It accompanies a Jazz Chamber Ensemble featuring Dr. James Polk on piano, Edwin Livingston on bass, John Lopez on percussion, JJ Johnson on drums, Al Gomez on trumpet, Eva Baumgarten on alto sax, Jay Fort on tenor sax, Carol Cisneros on vocals, and Bobby Arnold our sound engineer. Recorded at the Fire Station Recording Studio; "Ballad Borscht" is about the beauty of the people and the food of Russia, recorded at Rick Stockton Studio, San Marcos. Arlington "Olie" Jones on piano, Edwin Livingston on bass, JJ Johnson on drums, and Jay Fort on alto and tenor saxophones; "Rev. Falala" is about the hypocracy of fanatics; Featured artist Freddy Sanders on piano, Mike Porter on bass, Arthur Latin on drums, Elias Haslinger on tenor sax, Ephraim Owens on trumpet on 2nd trumpet, and Jay Fort on alto sax. Bobby Arnold our sound engineer, recorded at the Fire Station Studios, San Marcos, revised by Carol Cisneros; "Listen to the Wind" recorded in our home studio featuring Michael "Mikey" Dickerson on trumpet, George Prado on bass, Jay Fort on Native American flutes and flute, and Carol Cisneros on keyboards and vocals; "Gotta Keep Paying My Dues" was recorded here at home in our studio, an improvization, Jay Fort on piano, Carol Cisneros on vocals; "Rain Forest Lament" electronic recording realized in the SWT electronic recording studio under Dr. Russell Reipe. It begs the questions we ask ourselves, "Are We the Beauty Makers or the Beast who destroys?," because "To Save the Rain Forest is to Save Ourselves."
