Carole Alston`s Tribute to Billie Holiday is dedicated to the controversial life and the memory of Billie Holiday, one of the most reknowned Blues and Jazz singers not just in her time. It´s a comipilation of 8 monologues and 13 songs from Miss Holidays repertoire. Its a review of what she experienced at key moments in her life.
On this CD you find the 13 songs, performed by Carole Alston and recorded in Joe Zawinul´s Birdland (Vienna/Austria) in April 2004.
