Album Notes
This is the first of 2 volumes of the original Alfred Burt Carols, featuring 8 of the most popular carols. The arrangements were written by Brinley Bethel for the 1964 Grammy Nominated Recording "This Is Christmas" by The Voices Of Jimmy Joyce. The carols were written from 1942 to 1954. They were not a commercial venture, but done as the family Christmas card, a tradition started by Alfred's father, Reverend Bates G. Burt. They have grown in popularity around the world.

Diane Burt, the daughter of Alfred Burt, is the director of The Caroling Company. She is the featured soloist on "Some Children See Him".

Producer, Nicola Marcello D'Amico, has brought the carols back to the original intended form, a cappella. The tracks are clean and mixed in a manner that expose the brilliant harmonies without using gimmicks or effects which camouflage the purity of the voicings. Nick is the featured soloist on "Jesu Parvule".

The a cappella ensemble has won a reputation for excellence by using creative original arrangements of traditional favorites and contemporary jazz songs. They specialize in performing the classic Alfred Burt carols. Individually, the members of THE CAROLING COMPANY have performed with some of the top names in show business on stage, in concert, on recordings and on television. By blending these creative talents together, they have achieved the unique quality that identifies them as “THE CAROLING COMPANY”.

THE CAROLING COMPANY began singing together to bring the spirit of Christmas to hospitals, children's homes and shut-ins. Their popularity has grown over the years and the group has performed throughout the entertainment industry, ranging from private celebrity parties, corporations and major hotels to gala Christmas events.

On film, they appeared in the opening credits of the hit Paramount Pictures' film, "The Addams Family", starring Angelica Houston and Raul Julia. They also appeared with Bill Murray in the well-known hit film, "Scrooged".

In 2004, the group was featured on “The Alfred Burt Carols Golden Anniversary Collection”, still in stores nation wide and available on line.

They have appeared in concert with The Judds, Charlie Pride, Garth Brooks and others at the Universal Amphitheater and also sang in concert backing up Andy Williams. They have been featured at the Music Center for Ronald McDonald House Charities. with Jim Belushi at Veterans Hospital and have performed with many local symphonies for Christmas concerts all over Southern California.

Their television credits are too numerous to mention, but a few of the standouts are several appearances on ABC's "GOOD MORNING AMERICA", and "GENERAL HOSPITAL" and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno . You have heard them sing on L.A.'s popular KOST 103.5 FM, KIIS-FM, KWAV 94.7 FM ("THE WAVE"), KLAC with Brad Chambers, KRTH 101 with Gary Bryan, KZLA and National Public Radio. You will also hear them on the Brian Setzer Big Band smash hit Christmas CD, “Boogie Woogie Christmas”.
