ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Carolyne Mas first arrived on the New York Music scene in 1976, and recorded her debut album "Carolyne Mas" for Mercury Records in 1979. She created much hoopla in the press at the time, but despite this, Mas never seemed to gain mainstream acceptance in the United States. Her greatest success came from her European audience, where she continues to tour and record to this day.

While living in Bremen, Germany, Mas frequently recorded at Am Deich Studio, with friend and producer Clive Gray. This recording of "Imagine" was a true labor of love which Mas and Gray presented to SPV records at their office in Hannover, Mas' label at the time, but they turned down releasing it as a single. Mas had hoped to release it as a show of solidarity with the anti-foreigner hate movement which was popular in Germany at the time.

All keyboards by Carolyne Mas, acoustic guitar by Clive Gray, electric guitar by Felix Agustinho. Produced and arranged by Carolyne Mas, translation of the word "Peace" into 13 languages courtesy of the fine shop owners of Bremen.

Carolyne is very happy to at last share this very personal recording with her fans.
