Ms. Carrie Jackson is considered to be one of the most consistently interesting singers in the metropolitan area, one of the top jazz artist's around today, a singer with a soulful sound! She combines classic jazz favorites, standards, originals, pop & blues and tunes from the Great American Song Book, George & Ira Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Rodgers & Hart, Lerner & Lowe, music that swings. Her voice is warm, soulful, and deep; a voice of character and one powerhouse of a Singer!!

Carrie rekindles thoughts of America's great jazz history, and attributes her vocal style of singing to her mentors, the Great Ladies of Jazz, Sarah "Sassy" Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Carmen
Mc Rae. She has taken all of her mentors and made them a part of her and brings new horizons to this classical art form called Jazz, the truth is that she has a bit of all of them and more that is uniquely her own style. She maintains a uniqueness that is totally her own and proudly carries the jazz banner. Her voice has a sultry, soulful, sound that has captivated thousands and takes the audience by storm with its many improvisational nuances. Carrie’s Jazzin’ All Star Band swings to the sounds of Count Basie, Woody Shaw, Benny Goodman, makes you want to clap your hands, tap your feet and dance the night away!!!

CARRIE JACKSON is a vocalist and performer who spreads, shares her joy and well-honed expertise on the stage. Carrie with her multifaceted singing style she can harmonize swing, scat, swing standards with sweet soul, wail the blues, ballads, or Gospel, all complimented by her engaging stage presence and graceful moves. Carrie has a wide range with a strong command of the classic elements of jazz vocalizing. She is also a gifted lyricist, has great timing and truly sings from her heart. I have a wide range of experience in the entertainment field and a varied repertoire providing for classical performances in jazz favorites, soulful pop and blues numbers with a flair for dramatic interpretation and vocal nuances. I am striving to keep this music called Jazz alive, and take it to new vistas and horizons! I am sure that my versatility, professionalism and wide range of experience in the entertainment field will make me an asset to your organization.

THIS VERSATILE SINGER BEGAN PERFORMING at the tender age of six singing in the children’s and young adult choir’s;
she studied voice and piano with Howard "Duke" Anderson, Educator, arranger, composer. Carrie works extensively in the New York, metropolitan areas performing at premier, top jazz clubs, and touring in the US and abroad.
